Accessibility statement

Our commitment

We want Satomaa to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or screen magnification. Accessibility is something we keep in mind as we design and build the service.

Conformance status

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. Satomaa has not yet undergone a formal third-party audit, so we consider the service partially conformant: most of it meets the standard, and some parts may not yet fully meet every criterion. We work to close those gaps as we improve the product.

What we do

  • Use semantic markup and label interactive elements for assistive technology.
  • Aim for sufficient colour contrast in our Pelto colour system.
  • Support keyboard navigation for key flows.
  • Provide text alternatives for meaningful images.
  • Offer the service in both Finnish and English.

Known limitations

As a small, growing service we are still improving. Some newer features may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA, and a few third-party components we rely on may have their own limitations. If you run into a barrier, please let us know — your feedback directly helps us prioritise fixes.

Give feedback

If you have trouble using any part of Satomaa, or want to report an accessibility issue, contact us and we will do our best to help and to fix the problem.
